HOPKINS COUNTY, Ky. (8/01/15) — The 24th Annual Miss Teen Hopkins County Fair Pageant began as 13 teens performed a number to “Diamonds are a Girl’s Best Friend” on Wednesday evening in the Eddie Ballad Convention Center.
The contestants, dressed in pink, dazzled the crowd with their moves as well as their smiles.
They were judged in their choice of pink sportswear, interview and evening gown, with interviews being completed off-stage prior to the sportswear and evening gown competition.
Madison Brook Howard was crowned 2015 Miss Teen Hopkins County Fair Pageant and will represent Hopkins County in Louisville at the Kentucky State Fair Pageant.
Howard was sponsored by Hairapy Lounge and is in the 9th grade at Madisonville North Hopkins High School.
First runner-up was Brittany Werley with Lauren Goodman as second. The 2015 Miss Congeniality award went to Morgan Breanna Seibert.
Pageant coordinators were Melinda McGaw and Ginna Sarmiento. Master of ceremonies was Miss Belle of Louisville and 2014 Miss Hopkins County Morgan P’Pool. Scoring was by Berry, Kington & Utley.
A special thank you was given to the Hopkins County – Madisonville Fair Board and to Mark of Distinction for stage décor and queen’s bouquet, Country Cupboard, Barbara Yonts Photography and Dennis McDaniel Custom Video Taping.
